You love your family; we love ours! You’re proud of your loved ones; we’re proud of ours!
Fourteen years ago, a new son blessed our family. Pride in him filled us. We found an expensive but flimsy baby shoe charm at a jeweler and added two more to honor our daughter and younger son as they came along. Worn daily on a necklace, business associates and total strangers would stop to remark about the shoes and ask to know where they could get them. This filled me with pride, not only for our children and our family, but also for an idea that had some merit.
As time passed, the charms became damaged, discolored and just embarrassing. Finally in 2006, changing circumstances permitted us to examine how others might want to express pride in their children and loved ones. We designed our own keepsake baby shoe and had it manufactured by excellent jewelry artisans. It looked so good that we decided to offer it to all parents, grandparents, and respective family members. Then another idea came to us, that of honoring our brave sons and daughters who are in the military. Hence, the military (GI or Combat) boot keepsake was born!
Parents are proud of their children; children delight in that! Imagine your child approaching you, his mom or dad, and asking, “ Which shoe is mine?”, as he or she peers at your necklace or gazes at your key chain! We have experienced that emotion again and again; we hope you will too, as you personalize your treasured keepsake and show the world, and your loved one, that you care.
